Progress Reports &
Instructional Learning Plans
At Monarch Montessori, Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) and monthly progress reports are essential to how we support each child’s success. ILPs allow us to tailor learning experiences to every student’s unique needs, interests, and pace, while monthly progress reports keep families informed about their child’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Together, these tools ensure intentional, personalized instruction and strong school–family partnerships, helping every child build confidence, stay engaged, and reach their full potential.

Instructional Learning Plans (ILPs)
At Monarch Montessori, each child benefits from an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) designed to support their unique growth and development. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, ILPs are guided by careful teacher observation and reflect each student’s strengths, interests, and areas for growth. These plans help ensure that lessons and materials are intentionally matched to each child’s readiness, allowing them to progress at their own pace while building confidence, independence, and a strong academic foundation.
Progress Reports
At Monarch Montessori, we provide monthly progress reports to keep families meaningfully connected to their child’s growth and development. These reports offer insight into each student’s academic progress, as well as their social and emotional development, highlighting strengths and areas for continued growth. Families will also see how their child is progressing toward both the Michigan Early Childhood Standards and their Individualized Learning Plan (ILP), ensuring a clear and comprehensive understanding of their learning journey.
