Health & Safety
At Monarch Montessori, nothing is more important than your child’s safety. Our calm, secure environment helps every child feel comfortable and supported as they grow and learn. For added peace of mind, we use a secure remote entry system and keep doors locked at all times. We also carefully monitor each child’s arrival and departure through strict check-in and check-out procedures.
Building Security
At Monarch Montessori, all exterior doors remain locked and closed at all times to ensure a safe environment. Staff remotely monitor building entrances, and every visitor—including enrolled families—must request access upon arrival. Only verified individuals are granted entry, keeping our community secure at all times.
Visitors
We prioritize a carefully monitored and secure environment for every child. All visitors—including non-enrolled families, vendors, and authorized pick-up individuals—must present a valid photo ID. Our staff maintains up-to-date records of approved drop-off and pick-up contacts, and all entry requests are remotely monitored. Access is granted only to verified individuals to ensure the safety of our community.
Emergency Drills
Safety preparedness is an essential part of our daily operations. We conduct regular fire drills with children and staff, along with seasonal tornado drills from May through September. Emergency drills and safety reviews take place quarterly, and our team revisits the Emergency Procedures Plan twice a year to stay prepared for situations such as fire, severe weather, power outages, or medical emergencies. To ensure we’re following best practices, our procedures are also reviewed annually by an independent safety and security consultant.
Healthy Environment
Sanitation and healthy hygiene are core to both learning and overall well-being. Children are guided in proper hand washing, cleanliness, healthy eating, daily exercise, and adequate rest, all modeled and reinforced by our staff. We ask that children who are ill or unable to participate fully in daily activities remain at home until they have had time to rest and recover.
