Montessori Principles
Monarch Montessori follows the Montessori model, an educational approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori that emphasizes independence, hands-on learning, and respect for each child’s natural development. In our classrooms, students learn in thoughtfully prepared environments filled with purposeful materials that invite exploration, discovery, and problem-solving. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, children progress at their own pace, choosing work that matches their interests and developmental readiness while teachers serve as guides who observe, support, and gently extend learning. This looks like students engaging deeply with materials, collaborating across age groups, building concentration, and developing both academic skills and personal responsibility—fostering confident, capable learners who are intrinsically motivated to learn.
